Also Paul, we tied the franchise record for number of sellouts in a single season at 20 tonight. The final 2 saturday games are already sold out as well so that's a minimum of 22 sellouts. A far cry from the crap we put up with a few years back.

Good for AK46. Didn't have any doubt he would succeed. I catched the first two periods last night, Preds are quite impressive.

Keep it up!

They looked like a much different team than they did on tuesday, much better!

Would love to get at least 5 of 8 on this trip. I love the late games as I can watch them after putting my daughter to bed!

I have never looked forward to the ides of march as much as I am this year!

Poile might order him one, getting both for Dustin Boyd, Dan Ellis (didn't sign there), a 2nd round pick, and giving them their 5th round pick back. I would say he deserves a ring if the situation presents itself

Geoffrion scored last night and the Habs beat the Canucks! I'm waiting for the Habs to give up on Lars Eller and Rene Bourque. I'm greedy!!!

Preds were really solid in the first period then started to drop off as the game went on. I love that they got the win, but I honestly would have liked to see them push the tempo more and wear the Wings out since they'd played the night before.

The Wings worked harder than the Preds in the third and it should have been the other way around. The same thing happened against St. Louis the last time out and it allowed the Blues to hang in there until they won in the shootout.

That's my one criticism of the team right now. It seems like they're Arnotting on line changes and just gliding around in the third rather than moving their feet and hustling.

Outside of that, a very solid win. Kostitsyn has been fantastic since coming here, and his brother has upped his game as well. Kinda makes you laugh when you think back to all the snide remarks from Montreal fans after we acquired older brother.

I wish the Preds would send Ellis back down once Klein comes back and preserve his rfa status for an additional year. He's not much of an upgrade over Hillen right now so why not keep him learning in Milwaukee before he hits that 40 game mark?

Great penalty kill last night. Great power play.

Tough road trip ahead. I like the Preds chances the next two games, but the weekend is going to be a real test. Especially the Kings on the back end of a back to back.

Keep it going Preds! If we have to play the Wings in the first round let's at least get home ice.

Flip flop 'em, D. Kings then Ducks. And I agree with the coasting. It's not even, "Let's lock down and hold the lead," which is a bad enough mindset. More like, "I think we've done enough to win this one," and then they have to try to amp it up to hold on.

I love how all of the Detroit fans want to act like they were icing a AHL team last night. What an excuse. Yes, Detroit was icing a young team..But ae you heard of Ellis? Josi? Bourque? Wilson? Nashville isn't exactly an old experienced team..It is impossible to suggest that if your 'stars' where in the game, Detroit would win. Nashville got the 2 points, Detroit lost on the road. Those are the facts.

That being said, let's not act like that was some sort of dominating performance by the Predators last night. They probably should have beaten that AHL Detroit team by 3 goals. This team needs to be better at playing with a lead and stepping on the opponent's throat when necessary. Good to get the 2 points, but they need to be better, especially in the 3rd period.

Great win, great game, great atmosphere at the bridge. BUT.. Too many red jerseys and too many fans acting like idiots. The metro police was called to my section twice for stupid ppl acting like children. I'm usually in the lower section
Of 115 and never had a problem but I gave up my tickets for some friends who were visiting from out of town so I sat in section 101 and I will never sit in that section again... I've been going to games for 4 yrs and never saw ppl act like that during a game...
I have to say I'm disappointed in some Nsh fans...

"Waaaaahhhh!!! We're hurt!!! Waaaaahhhh!!! We're hurt!!!"

Can't take that type of attitude this time of year. Keep it up, Red Wings fans, and you'll find yourselves on the first tee sooner than you probably should be this year. Gotta fight through the injuries, because every team has them.

Also, love when Wings fans mention how many Cups they've won every time the Preds beat them. Subtle reminder: This is 2012, and what you did in the past can't help you now. Find a better argument.

Their forwards were not AHLers, but the blue line leaked like a sieve. When I saw Howard was out again, I commented to 2 guys in front of us, "wait, this isn't Milwaukee." There were a number of RW fans around us in 106. One couple from Ky for a birthday present another set of guys in front from Detroit. The Detroit guys said how our barn and games were much more toward entertainment and quite fun though the outcome wasn't what they wanted, the on ice and off ice products made for a really great time.

I would have bet that if Datsyuk had been in the line up, he would have buried a goal in the last minute given how we played.

Given everyone's schedule (and assuming we have at least 102 pts) looks like the Wings in the 1st round.

Well, we used to like a lot Andrei K. But, you'll see that he's not always that "likeable". Superb offensive potential, not always using it. Great size, great skating, by moments. Gives heart attacks in his defensive ends, but we did enjoy alot of his offensive abilities. You'll have to live with both side of him, that's all.

Jason told me he was saving himself for the 2nd and later rounds. Maybe since most of the guys are 2nd round vets, they are pacing themselves too. Ellis is very close to the 40 game mark! I was told that scratches count towards 40 game mark.

I had Preds season tickets from 06-09 and have been on both ends of the fan base entering the Arena...and yeah I'm sorry to say, it always seems to be at its highest when the Wings are in town. Not saying one is worse than the other, cause as we all know both sides have its bad apples that ruin it for the rest...

You....the wings fan who pretends to to be a preds fan when the wings are not in town....and then who wears the dreaded red jersey when the wings are in town and who boo's the preds like you've always hated them....well....you are the biggest freaking scum of all. I have no respect for you, at all. All of you are assh*les, and I wish you'd only show up for the wings games in your stupid yzerman jerseys that look brand-spanking new. I truly hate you--while at the same time, I feel sorry for you.....screw that--I just hate you.

But thanks for buying a ticket, though.

I agree with this - we pretty much played Detroit's AHL team and barely beat them. I think about that 4th or 5th position and think that either it will be Detroit or St Louis - neither of which would be a good choice. So maybe I'm now hoping to drop a few of those games on the road, let Chicago catch up, and end up 6th or 7th. I know it won't be a popular idea, but as much as I love the Preds, they tend to take a game off here and there, or at least a period.

Barely beat them??? On the scoreboard maybe, but in reality could've been 5-1 by 2nd intermission. I don't understand all the complaining about "barely" beating them.

They were missing Lidstrom & Datsyuk. When you are icing a team that has Zetterberg, Franzen, Filppula, Holmstrom, Kronwall, Stuart, Quincey, etc.; that's hardly an AHL team. I don't even consider McDonald that much of a step down from Howard. That's like saying the Preds were icing an AHL team just because they're missing Weber and Fisher.

Let's not go overboard here.

Damn...not held much as an infant???

That being said...it's fans like you that made it clear to me after 2009 that it wasn't worth wasting my money or time on having and rooting for a team B...I guess its ok for Thrashers fans in years past to have the Preds as a team B to root for..but if their team A is the Wings then its all of a sudden taboo...great double standards! I bought season tickets for the preds because I was a hockey fan first and foremost, nothing more...not looking for acceptence or looking to fit or gain respect from nobody, least of all you, so don't flatter yourself. Makes me glad that the Preds don't get a dime from me anymore..it just wasn't worth it.

In closing, congrats for being a Black Eye on your entire fanbase, reminding the rest of the hockey world why nobody really cares about Nashville hockey or their fans.
